CARTHAGENA - It's that time of year again for one of the area's largest and most diverse displays of artworks at St. Charles Senior Living Community at 2860 U.S. 127.
This weekend marks the seventh edition of Artistry Under the Dome where established and emerging artists and artisans, all with links to the region, rub shoulders with one another. They'll offer windows into their creative processes and examples of their work to appreciate and purchase. [More]

Road extension, utility work planned
MONTEZUMA - Construction of a new business is expected to begin soon in the Franklin Industrial Park, spurring Mercer County commissioners to extend a road and sewer services to the new facility.
MINSTER - Council members heard first reading of an ordinance authorizing issuing a 10-year note to finance the 2018 Fifth Street project assessment, and discussed possibly financing the recent land purchase east of town.

ROCKFORD - Officials are looking to hire someone to replace a longtime village employee who recently retired.
"We're a man short," village administrator Jeff Long told council members during Tuesday's meeting.
ST. MARYS - A rental house that caught fire on Monday has been declared a total loss, but no injuries were reported, according to St. Marys Township Fire Department Chief Chad Hicks.
CELINA - Area residents can still sign up for the Great April Adventure on April 12 in downtown Celina.
