CELINA - City officials expect a large crowd for the grand opening of the Harley C. Jones Memorial Rotary Amphitheater on what is forecast to be a beautiful, sunny Saturday with temperatures in the low 80s.

Indians win battle for 1st; challenges ahead

COLDWATER - The Fort Recovery volleyball team's motto this season is "one team."
If the Indians keep winning MAC games, they may consider changing it to No. 1 team.
Fort Recovery posted a 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 sweep of Coldwater on Thursday night at the Palace in a battle of conference co-leaders. The Indians improved to 5-0. The Cavaliers fell to 4-1 and into a four-way tie for second with St. Henry, New Bremen and Marion Local. [More]

Mendon gets the funding
CELINA - County officials plan to direct more than $150,000 in federal/state funds toward resurfacing streets in Mendon instead of a Fort Recovery street reconstruction project.
CELINA - A driver flipped a tanker filled with anhydrous ammonia off State Route 29 early Thursday morning, closing westbound lanes for most of the day and resulting in a minor leak.
CELINA - For 70 minutes, Celina had everything going for them. Solid defense kept Ottawa-Glandorf from getting any decent chances at goal and a late first-half goal had the Bulldogs leading 1-0.
