Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Pearl Whitehead
Pearl (Bolenbaugh) Whitehead, age 89, passed away on February 6, 2021 at Mercer Health in Coldwater, Ohio.
  She was born May 27, 1931 in Van Wert, Ohio, the youngest daughter of Andrew Jackson and Laura (Kreischer) Bolenbaugh. She married George Whitehead on January 27, 1973 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1981.
  Survivors include her children, Pat (Ellie) Baker, Berne, Indiana, Pam Baker, Celina and Jeff Baker, Rockford; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Baker, Rockford; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.
  She was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Baker; a great-grandson, Kyle Borger; step-grandson, Richard Smith; a stepdaughter, Susie Hardin; four sisters, Margaret, Ethel, Anita and Arlene; and six brothers, Deloyd, John, Roy, Alan, Bill and Don.
  Pearl graduated from Ohio City Liberty High School in 1949. She retired from Huffy Bicycle Company after 20 plus years of service.
  Following Pearl's wishes, there will be no services.
  Memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
