Scott Dippold
Scott Bryant Dippold, 48, of Coldwater, Ohio, passed away on May 27, 2021, after a 3-year battle with cancer.
Scott was born on February 27, 1973, to Bob and Katie (Heyne) Dippold, who survive in Cassella. He married Jenny Rammel on August 15, 1998.
They were blessed with 4 children: Caleb (21), Blake (19), Lydia (16), and David (14), all at home. In addition to being survived by his parents, wife and children, he is survived by his grandmother: Teresa Heyne of Coldwater; 2 brothers: Cory Dippold of Columbus, and Ryan & Mindi (Meier) Dippold of Fishers, IN, a sister: Lindsay (Eric) Schroeder of Maria Stein; father-in-law Dave Rammel of Ft. Recovery; and in-laws Stacy (Jose) Faller of Ft. Recovery, Kari (Todd) Vehorn of St. Henry, and Chris & Shayla (Coffman) Rammel of Farmersville. Scott had 3 godchildren: Grace Dippold, Ben Rammel and Layna Schroeder.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Becky Rammel, grandparents Cyril and Flora Dippold; and Leroy Heyne.
Equally important are the wonderful family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and the entire community. The constant, outpouring of love and kindness Scott felt was immeasurable to him and his family during these last few difficult years.
Scott was a 1991 graduate of Marion Local High School and a 1995 graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a bachelor's degree in agriculture systems with a minor in Agriculture Business. Scott worked in various careers in the agriculture industry, but his passion and love was being a school bus driver and farming. He drove a morning and afternoon bus route for Coldwater Schools for the last 10 years, as well as field trips and every sporting event he could. He was a proud dad who loved to watch his kids play sports!
Scott never wanted people to see him struggle; instead he wanted his strength to shine and never complained. He lived every day with intention and grace. He would not want anyone to view his death as defeat from this disease, but rather a victory in living every day to its fullest and serving others.
In keeping with serving others, memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County, Do Good Restaurant, or Everheart Hospice, who offered amazing support and compassion to the family during this difficult time.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 7 PM on Monday and from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
