Virginia Reineke-Wierwille
Virginia "Ginny" Mae Reineke-Wierwille, 92, of Celina, OH was called to heaven at 7:45 p.m. Sunday October 31, 2021 at Otterbein -- St. Marys.
She was born August 17, 1929 in Celina, OH to Leonard and Eunice (Parker) Kohlhorst.
She is survived by: son Terry "Rino" (Tracey) Reineke of Celina, OH; daughter Christine (Brian) Teshka of Celina, OH; daughter Carla Mallory of Celina, OH; daughter Leslie (Al) Solomon of St. Marys, OH; step-daughter Judy (Jim) Bergman of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren: Troy Reineke, Jenna (Scott) Felver, Caelyn (Derek Ebon) Reineke, Amy Schakel, Rhonda (Ryan) Luurtsema, Ashlee (Justin) Smith, Ross (Kim Ezzo) Triplett; 9 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-great grandchildren; a circle of close friends.
Preceded in death by: parents Leonard and Eunice Kohlhorst; brother Herbert (Donna) Kohlhorst; sister Maxine (Robert) Waldren; sister Annette (Raymond) Goetz; brother Marlin (Martha) Kohlhorst; brother Leonard (Reba) Kohlhorst; son-in-law Daniel Mallory; husband James Wierwille, Jr.; former husband Eugene Reineke
She was a graduate of Celina High School. A hard worker, she was a devoted employee of several area eating establishments, including "Roger Clemens' Flame Roasted Chicken" in Celina. She was a lifetime member of VFW Post # 6772 auxiliary in Spencerville, OH, and a member of the United Methodist Church. The Lord has called home a beautiful woman with a heart of gold and outgoing personality to whom there was no such thing as a stranger. The cornerstones of her life were her faith in God and her love for her family. She was a devoted "mother of all mothers" and treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Her favorite pastimes included bowling, BINGO, taking part in church-related activities, attending the grandkids' sporting events, sight-seeing and dining out with her friend Alice and several others. If you asked anyone (especially her kids), they would tell you that she was the area's best cook, bar none. She had a wonderful sense of humor, with a smile that will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Although her passing leaves her family with broken hearts and wonderful memories, they are comforted by the fact that she will continue to watch over them from Heaven. "Thanks for EVERYTHING, Mom!"
Rites are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 6, 2021 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
