Ryan Lageman
Ryan M. Lageman, 25, of New Bremen, Ohio, and formerly of New Knoxville, died Monday, November 1, 2021, from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Celina.
He was born May 28, 1996, in Cincinnati, the son of Mark and Sarah (Novean) Lageman. He married Meg Reineke on September 5, 2020, at the First Church of New Knoxville. She survives in New Bremen.
He is also survived by his infant daughter, Bradie Lageman; by his parents, Mark and Sarah Lageman of New Knoxville; by Meg's parents: Stan and Susie Reineke of New Knoxville; by his siblings: Zach (Paige) Lageman of New Knoxville; Abagail (Robert Egbert) Lageman of New Knoxville; Jonah (Paige Jones) Lageman of Maria Stein; Caleb Lageman of New Knoxville. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Jane Novean of New Knoxville; by Meg's grandparents: James (Beverly) Reineke of New Knoxville; Sharon Hinman of San Antonio, Texas; by his sister-in-law, Morgan (Zach) Strayer of Spencerville; Marcus Reineke of Dublin, Ohio. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Gus Strayer; Knox Strayer; Scarlett Strayer; Carolynne Reineke; Emmitt Lageman, and another one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Novean; paternal grandparents, Jim and Shirley Lageman; by Meg's grandfathers, Mark Jones and Ron Hinman.
Ryan was a 2014 graduate of New Knoxville High School and earned a BS in Marketing from Wright State University. He was employed at United Parcel Service in Celina and Strayer Sow Farm in Spencerville. Ryan was an outdoorsman who loved sports. He was very family oriented and active in youth ministry. He had served as a Youth Leader at Beavercreek United Methodist Church while in college and was currently serving on the Youth Leadership Team at First Church of New Knoxville. He loved kids very much, and he was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Michigan Wolverines.
Funeral rites will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen, Pastor Trent Fledderjohann, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Friday at the church, where memorial gifts may be given to a trust fund for Ryan's daughter, Bradie.
