Stan McClurg
Stan McClurg age 53, of Versailles passed away at 7:42 pm Monday, January 3, 2022, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
Stan was born June 25, 1968, in Coldwater to Stephen & Marie (Heitkamp) McClurg of Chickasaw.
He is also survived by his children, Mara & Nathan Peters of Versailles, Amanda & Trent Bergman of Botkins and Pakus & Hannah McClurg of Greenville; grandchildren, Emberly McClurg and Harlow McClurg; siblings, Mark & Janet McClurg of New Bremen, Sheryl & Gary Wilson of Celina and Mike & Ramona McClurg of North Star; his dog, Sadie Mae; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stan was preceded in death by his grandparents, August & Irma (Zahn) Heitkamp and Paul & Marlene (Barga) McClurg; and nephew, Dylan Michael McClurg.
Stan worked at Midmark in Versailles and formerly worked at Crown Equipment in Celina and New Bremen for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. Stan loved music and playing his guitar. Stan and his brother Mike, started the duo MicStand Band and enjoyed performing when given the opportunity.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 8, 2022, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stan McClurg College Fund for his grandchildren.
