Benjamin Cook
Benjamin C. Cook, 90, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away on January 3, 2025, at Fulton Manor.
He was born on February 18, 1934, in Rockford, Ohio to the late Grant and Lena Flo (Snyder) Cook.
Ben retired from Hubbard Printing Company in 2014, where he worked as part of their sales team. He graduated from Celina High School in 1953 and entered the US Army in 1953 during the Korean War. Ben was a member of the Elks Lodge #929, Amvets #1313 life member, BPOE #372 and American Legion Post #300. Ben will be remembered for his avid woodworking skills, sense of humor, love of his family, and love of people, he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cathy; daughters, Kristina Klepinger of Sidney, OH, Amanda (David) Mihalick of Niles, MI; sons, David (Karen) Cook of Sidney, OH, mother of his children, Mary Lee Cook; stepson, Jarrod Dow of Monclova, OH; grandchildren, Samuel Klepinger, William Klepinger, Britton Martin, McKenzie Anderson, Paige Mihalick, and Landon Dow; great grandchildren, Naomi Klepinger, Aurora Klepinger, Aruna Martin, Warren Martin, and Bristol Martin. Ben was one of twelve children, surviving among them are, Robert (Cinda) Cook, Sally (John) Wannamaker, Rebecca (Daniel) Dumbald, and Elizabeth Frushour. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Martin; and siblings, Kathyrn Crider, Grant Cook, Jr., Carl Cook, Clark Cook, Don Cook, Mike Cook, and Rosalyn Cook.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Ben had bequeathed his body to the Division of Anatomy at The Ohio State University.
