Dale R. Jones, 78, of Saint Marys, died 2:55 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.

He was born October 31, 1946, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Rolland and Alice (Opalinski) Jones.

He is survived by his former wife, Sallyanne Calvert of Middle Point, Ohio; by his children: Jodi (Troy) Anderson of Saint Marys; Casey Jones of Neptune; by his grandchildren; Jon Anderson; Alex Anderson; Cierra Grothause; Caleb Jones. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Carter Anderson; Guinevere Anderson; Theodore Grothause; Oliver Grothause; Samuel Jones; Roman Jones; by his siblings: Darlene Prince of Continental; Bob Jones of Paulding; Alan Jones of Defiance; Steve Jones of Columbus; Lori Parker of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings: Theodore Jones; Jon Jones; Rick Jones.

Dale was a graduate of Continental High School. He retired from General Dynamics, where he was a welder for many years.

He was an avid tool and antique collector.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Auglaize County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
