Helen Dabbelt
Helen M. "Marge" Dabbelt, 97, of Wapakoneta, died 9:55 a.m., Monday, January 20, 2025, at The Gardens of Wapakoneta.
She was born February 25, 1927, in Celina, OH, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Sacher) Ellis. On Nov. 20, 1947, she married Luke J. Dabbelt, and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2010.
Survivors include, 7 children, David (Katharine) Dabbelt, West Chester, OH, John (Janice-dec) Dabbelt, Ft. Wayne, IN, Daniel (Mary Jane) Dabbelt, Boston, MA, William (Julie) Dabbelt, Bonita Springs, FL, Mark (Lisa) Dabbelt, Westerville, OH, Anne (Walter) Turner, Wapakoneta, OH, and Michael (Kristin) Dabbelt, Acworth, GA; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Dabbelt, New Bremen, OH.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Dabbelt, her daughter-in-law, Janice Dabbelt, and 2 brothers and spouses, Charles (Elaine) Ellis and Jim (Delma) Ellis.
Marge was a homemaker and retired in 1989 from the Wapak Learning Center. She was a 1945 graduate of Celina I.C. High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. Marge's world revolved around her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Fr. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends 9-10 a.m., Friday, January 24, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church.     Condolences may be expressed at www.eleyfuneralhomeandcrematory.com.
