Coldwater rallies from 10 down to beat Minster in overtime

COLDWATER - Leading by 10 with just under six minutes to play in the fourth quarter, Minster looked to have finally fended off Coldwater.
The Cavaliers begged to differ.
Coldwater outscored the Wildcats 13-3 the rest of the period to force overtime. Then in the extra session, the Cavaliers took the lead for the first time and won the tug-of-war with a 72-66 victory in Midwest Athletic Conference boys basketball action on Tuesday at the Palace. [More]

CELINA - The National Veterinary Services Laboratory confirmed four outbreaks of High Path Avian Influenza (HPAI) at various commercial poultry facilities throughout Mercer County on Monday, as the Grand Lake region continues to lead the emergence of the disease in Ohio.
CELINA - Lake Facilities Authority has been given the green light to reroute nearly $400,000 in unspent grant funds toward the Red Wing Nature Preserve.
CELINA - Three people appeared in Mercer County Common Pleas Court on Monday. Charges ranged from telecommunications fraud to drug possession to strangulation.

Mercer County's unemployment rate was unchanged in December, remaining one of the lowest in the state.
Ohio's unemployment rate rose slightly in December to 4.4% from 4.3%, with area counties seeing minimal increases in joblessness in December.
