Janice Rohrbach
Janice E. Rohrbach, 89, of rural St. Marys, OH died 6:48 a.m. Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen, OH.
She was born April 29, 1936 in Mercer Co., OH to Robert and Evelyn Sybilla (Vogel) Selby.
On September 10, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys, OH she married Ronald M. Rohrbach, who survives.
Also survived by: daughter Brenda (Geoff) Brooks of St. Marys, OH; son Jon (Amy) Rohrbach of Greenfield, IN; daughter Jill (Kevin) Quellhorst of St. Marys, OH; 5 grandchildren: Cole (Fiance' Holly Phillips) Brooks, Austin (Brooklyn) Quellhorst, Ryan Rohrbach, Taylor Rohrbach, Clay (Makenna Mele) Quellhorst; and 1 great-grandchild Myles Quellhorst.
Preceded in death by: father Robert Selby; mother E. Sybilla Selby-McElderry; brother R. Neal Selby; and step-father J. Marvin McElderry.
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1954) and Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne, IN.
As a registered nurse, she worked at JTDM Hospital and the offices of Dr. Dale Kile and Dr. Thomas Dozier, all in St. Marys. Currently along with her husband Ron they own and operate Riverside Acres Tack Shop in St. Marys for 61 plus years. She and Ronnie were a fixture in the equine community and traveled to numerous horse shows and county fairs throughout the area with their mobile unit of Riverside Acres Tack Shop.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
Janice will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family (aka working) and her pets. Fond of dogs and cats, she offered them food, love, medical treatment, housing and adoption to any neighborhood pet that wandered onto their property. She also enjoyed going shopping and anything purple caught her eye.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday June 30, 2025 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.
Visitation 2 - 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
