Julia Heyne
St. Rose native Julia Mae Beck Maxwell Heyne, 86, of Albert Lea, Minn., died Feb. 28, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Home, Albert Lea.
She was born Nov. 4, 1920, in St. Rose, to Anthony and Margaret Gast Hartings. On June 1, 1940, she married Richard E. Beck, who is deceased. On August 5, 1978, she married Robert B. Maxwell, who is deceased. On June 21, 1986, she married Cletus H. Heyne, who is deceased
Surviving are a son, Larry (Susan) Beck, Brookville; four daughters, Sandra (Martin) Cummins, Beavercreek, Linda (William) Begoon, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Patricia (Arnold) Mulso, Albert Lea, Minn.; Debra (Gary) Park, Dresden; a stepson, Daniel (Betty) Maxwell, Lexington, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Betty Ann (Norm) Wernet, Bexley; a brother Donald (Pearl) Hartings, Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Rosalie Decker, St. Marys, and Martha Sherman, Celina; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Andrew and Jerome Hartings; and a sister, Viola Davis.
She had worked as a lightning specialist for Duellman Electric and Lyons Electric and received her GED at the age of 75. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Albert's Catholic Church, Dayton, and United Church of Christ, Ellerton. She also volunteered at Kettering Memorial Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Westbrock Funeral Home, Dayton. Burial will follow at Ellerton Cemetery.
