Paul Ahlers
Paul Cletus Ahlers, 76, 1100 Myers Road, Celina, died at 12:05 p.m. April 20, 2008, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born June 22, 1931, in St. Henry, to William Henry and Regina Ebbing Ahlers. On June 21, 1975, he married Mabel Ayett, who died Oct. 30, 1992.
Survivors are two brothers, Bart (Mary Agnes), Coldwater, and Stanley (Viola), St. Peter; a sister, Mary Lou Osterholt, Fort Recovery; and five step-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother-in-law, Ed Osterholt; and a stepdaughter, Edna Carbon.
He worked for the State of Ohio doing maintenance at state parks and had worked at the former Pratt Brothers & Boise in Celina, and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and the American Legion, both in Celina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. serving in the Korean Conflict.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial is at the St. Henry Catholic Cemetery, St. Henry.
Calling is 4-7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
