Delbert Stucke
Delbert L. "Del" Stucke, 61, 293 E. Sixth St., Minster, died at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 12, 2008, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born May 8, 1947, in Coldwater to Werner and Alvira Vehorn Stucke, who survive. On Oct. 31, 1970, he married Ann Steinemann, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Jeff (Amy), Dublin, and Jason, Newport Beach, Calif.; seven brothers, Dick (Fran), St. Henry, Ron (Carolyn) and Jim (Pam), all of Maria Stein, Nick (Bonnie), Mason, John, New Bremen, Dale (Phyllis), Ashburn, Va., and Lavern (Sue), Minster; two sisters, Patricia (Jerry) Watercutter, St. Henry, and Sue (Gary) Wendel, Celina; and two grandchildren.
He worked at Crown Equipment Corporation, as a unit manager for plants three and seven in New Bremen, and Connersville, Ind. for 39 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, a member and past president of the Minster Athletic Boosters, where he was chosen booster of the year in 2006, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Minster. He was a 1965 graduate of Marion Local High School, Maria Stein, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Reserve,
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 Wednesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
