Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

Carey Knittle
Carey D. "Dave" Knittle, 58, of Monticello, died Sept. 11, 2009, when his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of state Route 197 and Marbaugh Road in western Auglaize County.
He was born June 28, 1951, in Decatur, Ind. to Rev. Carey G. and Marjorie L. Stetler Knittle, who survive. On Jan. 13, 1973, he married Debra A. Geiger, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jeffrey Scott (Kirsten) Knittle, stationed in Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Steve (Elena) Knittle, Roswell, Ga.; three sisters, Vickie (Herschel) Caldwell, Whitehouse, Tenn., Lori (Tony) Swander, Rockford, and Amy (Dave) Riddle, Blissfield, Mich.; a mother-in-law, Doris Geiger, Logonier, Ind., and a grandson.
He was a 1970 graduate of Colerain High School and a long-time employee of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1986. He attended the Monticello United Brethren in Christ Church and was a member of Union Local 200, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Military rites will be conducted afterward at the church by the Bowersock Bros. VFW and the Harry J. Reynolds American Legion, both of Spencerville.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
