St. MARYS - The football stadium will be relocated to the new 6-12 school property following a 3-2 vote at the highly charged board of education meeting Wednesday night.
Board member Craig Gottschalk first made a motion to keep the current athletic stadium, with only himself and Aaron Braun voting yes. Then board member Ralph Wiley made a motion to move athletic facilities to the new school site and it passed with yes votes from Wiley, Lisa Tobin and Rees McKee. [More]

ROSSBURG - Four-time defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson may be struggling a bit on the pavement, but all is well for Johnson on the dirt in a late model.
Johnson led all 30 laps of the main event to pick up the win in the sixth annual Gillette Fusion ProGlide Prelude to the Dream charity event at Eldora Speedway on Wednesday night. [More]

Celina council begins processs to put measure before voters in November

Commissioners this morning awarded a small ditch project in Rockford to a Columbus Grove company.
The project - called the RK Davis-Shaffer ditch - was estimated at $44,609 and involves just five property owners in a small area of Dublin Township.
Authorities have identified the name of the Lima man killed in a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon near Uniopolis.
Gregory L. Rhoad, 52, of Lima, became the second traffic accident victim in Auglaize County this year. Officials waited to release his name pending notification to his next of kin.
