At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Alberta Weitzel
Alberta Weitzel, 92, Sharpsburg, died Jan. 17, 2011, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born June 9, 1918, in St. Henry to Henry and Mary Borgerding Nieport. On April 22, 1941, she married Albert Weitzel, who died March 11, 1998.
Surviving are seven children, Paul (Mary Jo) Weitzel, Piqua, Irene (Terry) Clark, Piqua, Velma (Virgil) Schmidt, Chickasaw, Alma (Lewis) May, Versailles, Norbert (Betty) Weitzel, Fort Recovery, Margaret (Mark) Barnes, Tempe, Ariz., and Norma (Tom) Luth, Celina; a brother, Joe Nieport, St. Henry; a sister, Bernadette Lochtefeld, St. Henry; a sister-in-law, Delores Nieport, St. Henry; two brothers-in-law, Ben Lefeld, St. Henry, and Ben Holthaus, McCartyville; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a sister and her husband, Rose and Ed Zumberge; a brother, Tony Nieport; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Gertrude Nieport, Agnes Lefeld, Mary Holthaus, Romie Lochtefeld, Martha and Henry Hemmelgarn, Clarence and Regina Weitzel, Anna and Walter Ross, Juletta and John Reichert, Rita and Alvin Hartke, Ray and Ann Weitzel and Albert Langenkamp; two great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sharpsburg and its Ladies Sodality. She was a custodian at the church hall, a homemaker, a farmer and a school cook.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorials may be made to the the State of the Heart Hospice and American Heart Assoication.
