Donald Craft
Donald A. Craft, 73, New Bremen, died at 12:39 p.m. Jan. 14, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born July 13, 1937, in St. Marys to Bernard and Estella Wendel Craft. On Jan. 24, 1958, he married Janet E. Kohler, who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Kimberly Jo (William) Fisher, St. Marys; five siblings, Mary Ann (Leo) Tebbe, New Bremen, Kenneth (Judy) Craft, St. Marys, Melvin (LaDonna) Craft, Celina, David (LouAnn) Craft, Wapakoneta, and Victor (Mary) Craft, Cincinnati; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Craft, St. Marys, Betty Henschen, New Knoxville, and Sally Meckstroth, New Bremen; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are siblings and an in-law, Carl Craft, Bernard and Rita Craft and Mae Ellen Craft.
He was a 1955 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was one of the founding principals with Precison Strip in Minster. He served as a manager and helped establish plants in Kenton, Middletown and Bowling Green, Ky. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge Aerie 767, both of St. Marys. He also was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Celina.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, Deacon Greg Bornhorst officiating. Burial with military honors is at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
