Almeda Spriggs
Almeda Mae Spriggs, 85, Celina, died at 3:40 p.m. March 19, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 21, 1926, in Tipton, Ind., to Harley and Mary (Davis) Rosa. On June 21, 1947, she married Rex Spriggs, who died Nov. 15, 1993.
Surviving is a son, Michael (Barbara) Spriggs, Coldwater; a daughter, Melissa (Ron) Luebke, Celina; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Rosetta (Duane) Dunmoyer, Ellen (Gilbert) Beare and Rhoda (Paul) Hassan.
She was a 1944 graduate of Portland High School, Portland, Ind., and attended Ball State University. She retired from Celina Group Insurance after 31 years and was a member of the Wabash United Church of Christ.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with the Rev. Wilton Hull officiating.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Swamp College Cemetery.
