Maryhelen Dorfmeier
Maryhelen "Mari" Dorfmeier, 85, a resident of Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices, St. Marys, died at 3:30 a.m. March 3, 2012, at Otterbein.
She was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Carroll County, to Raymond and Helen Armstrong Roudebush. On June 9, 1947, she married William Dorfmeier, who died March 14, 2003.
Surviving are four children, Suzanne (Thomas) Knopp, Vandalia, Diana (Christopher) Lindley, Cumming, Ga., Wendy Dorfmeier, Gahanna, and Matthew (Janet) Dorfmeier, Englewood; a sister, Ramona Jean Caulder, Summerville, S.C.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Bonnie Prohaska.
A graduate of Carroll County High School, she attended Ohio State University and served as a paralegal in her husband's law office.
She was a former member of Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ in Madison Township and had written and produced a play and a television program for the church.
A memorial service is 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, West Chapel, the Rev. David Woodyard officiating. Private family burial service will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
