Vernis Hanna
Vernis Glen Hanna, 89, Celina, died at 8:05 a.m. March 26, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Darke County, to Garnet and Daisy Norris Hanna. On Jan. 27, 1950, he married Martha Brown, who died Sept. 4, 2011.
Surviving are four children, Ray (Ruth) Hanna, Paul (Phyllis) Hanna, Dave (Deb) Hanna and Mark (Patricia) Hanna, all of Celina; three siblings, George (Linda) Hanna, Celina, Dale (Dotty) Hanna, Celina, and Dorothy West, Celina; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four siblings, Carl Hanna, Clifford Hanna, Virginia McGee Yohey and Mary Meeds, and a grandson.
He retired from Kern's Chevy, Celina, as an automobile mechanic.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Bruce Head and Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
