Frank E. Hisey
Frank E. Hisey, 92, Celina, died June 25, 2012, at the Gardens at Celina.
He was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Monticello, Ind., to John and Hazel Wilson Hisey. On Dec. 7, 1938, he married Wanda L. Woods, who died Oct. 12, 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Frank E. Hisey Jr., Celina, and Carl (Billie) Hisey, Celina; four daughters, Sue (Joe) Collins, Amelia Island, Fla., Jeannie (Ralph) Snyder, Van Wert, Debbie Hisey, Celina, and Jackie Hisey, Celina; a sister, Fern Daniels, Berne Ind.; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are two daughters, Juanita "Dolly" Godwin and Diana Hughes, and two brothers, John Hisey and Orvie Hisey.
He worked as a well driller and later as a home builder.
He was a member of Celina First Presbyterian Church and served as a combat engineer in the Army during World War II, receiving three Bronze Stars.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Monday at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. Military rites will be conducted by the Celina American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard, the Rev. Dave Dennis officiating. Arrangements are being handled by W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
