Natalia Osterholt
Natalia "Dee Dee" Barnhart Osterholt, 90, formerly of Philothea and most recently of Coldwater, Mich., passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2013.
She was born June 17, 1922, in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late Samuel and Anna Bruns Barnhart. She was married May 8, 1943, to the love of her life, Leo Osterholt, who survives.
Surviving are six children, Liz (Betty) Osterholt, Sarasota, Fla., Michael (Mary Ellen Droesch) Osterholt, Maria Stein, Margaret (Lee) Stachler, Minster, Joann Zbikowski, Dayton, Leo Osterholt Jr., Celina, and Emilie (Dave) Britton, New Bremen; a sister, Mercedes Bergman, Fort Recovery; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lavern Bergman, and three sisters.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Angola, Ind., and was a charter member of NISCO Aerie 3025 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Coldwater. She was an avid sewer and quilter and has left her legacy with the many beautiful quilts she has created over the years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Philothea.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
