Louise Wagner
Louise "Lill" Wagner, 92, Minster, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Feb. 26, 2013, at Elmwood in New Bremen, where she had been a resident for more than two years.
She was born Dec. 3, 1920, in St. Patrick, to Louis and Anna (Hoying) Raterman. On Aug. 4, 1942, she married Wallace B. Wagner Sr, who died Feb. 10, 1995.
She is survived by four children, Pamela (Thomas) Kinsella of Minster, Becky (Rudy) Quinter of Minster, Gayle (John) Adamescu of Rocky River and Wallace B. Jr. (Nancy) Wagner of Minster; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Micki Debrosse of Middletown and Patricia Neff of Vandalia; and sisters-in-law, Theola Raterman of Dayton, Rosemary Raterman of Fort Loramie, Norma Raterman of Minster and Ann Schwieterman of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy; a great-grandchild; brothers, Henry, Joseph, Ray, her twin Louis, Homer "Squirt" and Tom Raterman; and sisters, Mary Schuler, Verona Segesser, Lottie Raterman, Julianna Gates and Florence Ritter.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the F.O.E. 1391 Auxiliary. She was a Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout leader, 4-H advisor and local chair for the American Heart Association. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, traveling, golf and bowling.
She was a homemaker and was co-owner of Wagner's IGA in Minster.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fr. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
