CELINA - Rain fell off and on throughout the weekend but people flocked to the ninth annual Freedom Days event at Lake Shore Park.

The patriotic event is sponsored by the Celina American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

The Lake Improvement wants more young members and is planning some unique events to attract them to the nonprofit organization.
