Marian Kuck
Marian E. Kuck, 90, a lifelong resident of New Knoxville, died the morning of March 10, 2015, at the home of her daughter in New Knoxville.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in St. Marys Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Martin and Lydia (Wierwille) Kuck, who are deceased. She married Wallace W. Kuck on July 7, 1945, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2003.
Surviving are her children, Gary (Luanne) Kuck, New Knoxville, Sandy (Roger) Hoelscher, New Knoxville, Gene (Jane) Kuck, New Knoxville, and Steve (Kay) Kuck, New Knoxville; 17 grandchildren, Kevin (Tina) Wibbeler, Bryon (Luanne) Kuck, Scott Hoelscher, Matt (Mary) Hoelscher, Lisa (Bob) Jaynes, Barry (Jenny) Kuck, Betsy (Keith) Dicke, Alisha (Carl) Rule, Erin Hoelscher, Jason (Renae) Ruff, Amy (Joe) Mejstrik, Andy (Kristi) Kuck, Paige Market, Amanda Kuck, Emma Kuck and Ethan Kuck; 28 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Kuck, New Knoxville.
Also deceased are a daughter, Jacqueline Ruff; her brothers, Paul Kuck and Vernon Kuck; and a sister-in-law, Carol Kuck.
Marian graduated from New Knoxville High School in 1941 and from Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Lima Memorial Hospital, Gibbons Hospital, Celina, and the former St. Marys Nursing Home.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and attended the Christian Fellowship Class for many years. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, reading and fishing.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of New Knoxville, the Revs. Beth Ernest Dennis Gaertner officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Ministry Center of the church.
Memorials may be given to Nathaniel's Hope or Teams Commission for Christ International. Both charities are ministries founded and operated by the Kuck family.
