Irene Beatty
Irene Beatty, age 94, of the Fulton Street Pavilion in Sidney, passed away of natural causes Thursday evening, June 4, 2015, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio.
She was born February 19, 1921, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late John and Anna Zumberger.
Surviving are four siblings: Leonard Zumberger of Sidney, Albert & Wilma Zumberger of Versailles, Urban & Marlene Zumberger of Versailles, and Doris Jean Zumberger of Sidney; sisters-in-law, Terentia Zumberger of Maplewood Eulalia Zumberger of Anna, and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by Siblings: Joe & Emma Zumberger, Rose & Gene Stockstill, Leo, John, and infant Mary Zumberger.
Irene is retired from Delco Products in Dayton where she had been employed 30 Years. Previously, she worked at NCR for 4 years during WWII. Irene attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Dayton. She had been a member of the parish Jubilee Club and the Charles Lateen Senior Center in Dayton. Irene was a very active person; she enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and shuffleboard at Holy Family. She also loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Newport with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Fort Loramie.
Friends may call Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
