Randy Taylor
Randy M. "Coach T" Taylor, 54, Saint Marys, Ohio, died suddenly on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at his residence.
He was born November 20, 1960, in Saint Marys, the son of Bill "Pepsi" and Julia (Gibson) Taylor. He married Christine Siefring on August 25, 1990, at the Hillsdale Baptist Church in Saint Marys, and she survives at the residence.
In addition to his wife, Randy is survived by his children: Matthew (Alysa Griswold) Taylor of Celina; Jessica (Cody) Jenkins of Wapakoneta; Kyle (Mallory) Taylor, Camp Pendleton, California. He is survived by his grandchildren: Mason Taylor, Laney and Dominic Hughes. He is survived by a brother, Bill (Marcie) Taylor of Saint Marys, and by his mother-in-law, Ruth Siefring of Saint Marys.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Keesler, and by his father-in-law, Paul Siefring.
He was a 1979 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School, and attended Wright State University. He served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He was the girls' softball coach for Spencerville High School, and had coached many other sports over the years, including football and baseball. He was the founder and former owner of Locker Room Pizza in Saint Marys, and had served as an auxiliary police officer for the City of Wapakoneta Police Department.
He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church in Minster. The most important thing to Randy's life was his family, and he was very proud of them. He will be remembered for his friendly, fun personality, and for his kindness to others.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, with Randy's uncle, Pastor Ed Taylor, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to a college fund for his grandchildren.
