Danny Miller
Danny L. Miller, 66, of rural Spencerville, died at 6:20 PM Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Kindred Hospital in Lima following an extended illness.
He was born March 19, 1949 in Lima, a son of Harry and Mary Ellen Garwood Miller, Jr., who are deceased. On July 3, 1971 he married Kay Diane Mowery, who survives.
Dan was a 1967 graduate of Spencerville High School and then attended Sam's Technical College in Fort Wayne for two years. He worked for 37 years at the Ohio Decorative Products in Spencerville in the plating dept. and had also been a press operator there.
He was a member of the Living Truth Ministries in Van Wert and had been a lay minister at the Pleasant Grove Church and other local churches. He enjoyed singing with his wife, fishing and just tinkering with things.
Also surviving are his brother; Jerry A. Miller of Spencerville and nephews; Jerry A. (Paula) Miller, Jr. of Gallipolis, Ohio; Jason A. Miller of Spencerville; and Matthew C. Mowery of Van Wert; nieces; June Ann Marie (Allen) Clutter of Sidney and Heather M. (Matt) Riley of Van Wert; his brother-in-law; Michael J. (Rose) Mowery of Van Wert and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother; Kenneth Wayne Miller and his sister-in-law; Joan Opal Miller.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with pastors Anthony Perry and Charles H. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mendon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2/4 and 6/8 PM today and after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
