Dorothy Stoermer
Dorothy Pax Stoermer, age 83, of Vandalia, Ohio, has rejoined her husband of 61 years, Edward S. Stoermer, who died December 12, 2015.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Antoinette (Nordenbrock) Pax, brothers Paul "Joe," Henry, James, and Alfred, sisters Adeline, Sr. Joel (Helen,) Grace, and Joan.
Dorothy graduated from St Henry High School. She received a scholarship to Mount St. Joseph College, Cincinnati, OH, graduating with honors. Dorothy was a charter member of St. Christopher's Parish, and participated in the COGS writing group, Our Homes Garden Club, and worked for Stoermer Equipment Company.
She is survived by brothers Clyde (Ann) Pax, Charles (Julianna) Pax, and sister Mary (Dom) Hunt, five children Mary, Edward (Beverly), Matthew, Mark (Margaret), and Anne (Edward) Lizak; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Supportive, inspirational, and creative, Dorothy will be missed.
Funeral services and Mass for Dorothy and Edward Stoermer will be held together at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Vandalia, OH Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 12:00 PM.
Visitation by family and friends will begin prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Following the burial ceremony at Calvary Cemetery, a luncheon celebrating Dorothy and Ed's life, marriage, and family will be held at Bainbridge Hall, 267 Bainbridge St. (Fifth Street and Wayne Ave.) Dayton, OH.
Remembrances can be made in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
