Cecilia Albers
Cecilia T. (Brackman) Albers, age 79, of Walnut Street, Fort Loramie, Ohio, passed away of natural causes at her residence early Thursday morning, September 29, 2016.
She was born May 16, 1937, at the home place in St Joseph, Ohio, to the late Willibald and Marcella (Omlor) Brackman.
On June 28, 1958, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery, Cecilia married Herman "Hap" Albers who preceded her in death on November 23, 2013.
Surviving are three children: Robert & Kathy Albers of Fort Loramie, Douglas & Donna Albers of New Bremen, and Jackie & Dave Bergman of Fort Loramie; eight grandchildren: Josh & Lisa Albers, Mallory & Jordan Pleiman, Cody Albers & fiancee Clair Ruhenkamp, Jake & Carrie Albers, Jenna Albers & fiance Josh Workman, Brian, Tony and Carlie Bergman; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Brackman of Dunkirk, IN; sisters & brothers-in-law: Alberta Brackman of Coldwater, Eileen & Urban Meyer of Minster, Dorothy & James Meyer of Sidney, Norma Gill of Wapakoneta, Rosie & Dave Cooper of New Bremen, Diana & Bob Wyen of McCartyville, Betty & Gerald Kempfer of Botkins, Peg & Tim Simon of Houston, and Fritz Albers of Maria Stein. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph & Joan and Harold Brackman; sisters & brothers-in-law: Mary Dean Brackman, Gene Gill, Rita & Henry Seger, Martha & Elmer Wolters, Donald and Robert Albers.
Mrs. Albers was a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. Cecilia enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, and cooking. Years ago she had also been a wedding cook.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, October 3, 2016, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
