Sr. Verlina Mescher

Sr. Verlina Mescher, C.PP.S., age 85, died on May 17, 2020, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on Feb. 28, 1935 in Maria Stein, Ohio. Parents were Otto (dec.) and Rosa (dec.) (Buening) Mescher.

Sister Verlina joined the sisters of the Precious Blood in Dayton, Ohio, on August 30, 1951.

Her brothers and sisters and in laws are: Ralph (dec.) and Sally Mescher, Versailles, OH; Lucille (dec.) and Bud (dec.) Nielsen of Pocahontas, AR; Gilbert Mescher (dec.) of Maria Stein, OH; Stanley (dec.) and Mickey (dec.) Mescher of Tipp City, OH; Elsie and Werner (dec.) Balster of Coldwater, OH; Dennis and Viola Mescher of Maria Stein, OH; James and Mary Kathryn Mescher of Fort Loramie, OH; Vernon (dec.), Sharon (dec.) and Mary Lou Mescher of Fort Recovery, OH; Sally and Gene (dec.) Mills of Versailles, OH; Sister Mary Martha Mescher of Hawaii; Nick and Sally Mescher of Urbana, OH; and David and Lucy Mescher of Maria Stein, OH. She also has numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Private services were held on May 21, 2020, in Dayton, Ohio, at the Sisters of the Precious Blood.
