David Keifer
David Charles Keifer, age 67 Celina, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Divine Nursing Home in Rockford.
He was born on October 9, 1954 to the late Donald J. and Lucille S. (Blank) Keifer in Norfolk, Nebraska.
He is survived by his children Paul (Peggy) Keifer of Salina, K.S., Joel (Amanda Muter) Keifer of Celina, grandchildren Addison Keifer, Anna Keifer, Blake Keifer, Brittany Muter, Makenna Muter, great-grandchildren Paris Muter, Landyn Muter, brother Jim (Linda) Keifer of Ft. Wayne, I.N., and sister Donna Moore of Denton, T.X.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his children Kathleen (Evans) Bijonowski.
David graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1972. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 10 years. After his service in the military, he worked in construction and as a local roofer. He retired from UPS in Celina and was a member of Grace Missionary Church, where he did mission work in Jamaica, sang in the choir and was the church sound man and in charge of the building maintenance for the last 15 years.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Grace Missionary Church, with Rev. Shawn Harrison and Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by Celina V.F.W. Post #5713 and the Celina American Legion Post #210.
Friends and family may call from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home and an hour before services at the church on Thursday.
