Marvin Koeper
Marvin Levi Koeper, 88, of St. Marys, OH passed away peacefully at 5:58 a.m. on Wednesday August 12, 2026 at his residence. He was born October 27, 1937 in New Bremen, OH to Lester D. and Mary M. (Rupert) Koeper. On May 5, 1962 in St. Marys, OH he married Virginia Wale, who died December 9, 2019.
Survivors include: Son Michael Koeper of St. Marys, OH; Son Neil Koeper of Van Wert, OH; 4 grandchildren: Tara (Brad McClain) Alexander, Nathan Koeper, Keely (Adam Stocker) Koeper, Dalton Koeper; 3 great-grandchildren: Kole, Blaize and Jackson Alexander; sister Beverly Sharpe of St. Marys, OH; brother Kenneth (Jeannie) Koeper of St. Marys, OH; brother Kevin (Cherry) Koeper of St. Marys, OH; sister-in-law Dianne Koeper of St. Marys, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents Lester and Mary Koeper; wife Virginia Koeper; brother Robert Koeper; sister Diana Sue Koeper; brother-in-law Jerry Sharpe; sister-in-law Nancy Koeper.
Marvin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a retired stock handler from CROWN Equipment Corp. in New Bremen, OH and had previously worked for Beatrice Foods in New Bremen. In his retirement, he worked for Pantry Pride Market in St. Marys for many years.
Marvin will be remembered for his friendly and outgoing personality. He absolutely loved visiting with his family and many friends.
An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed rooting for the St. Marys Roughriders sports programs and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.
Funeral Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday August 18, 2026 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial, with military funeral honors, will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.
Visitation 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Marvin's family encourages all attendees to wear St. Marys Roughrider or Cincinnati Reds attire.
