The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Gloria Miller
Gloria Jean Miller, 76, of Rockford, died at 5:30 a.m. Nov. 18, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born July 29, 1931, in Napoleon, to Edward and Dorothy Mumford Mengerink. Her husband, Roma Miller, died in 1997.
Survivors are five sons, Rich (Jennifer) and Brian, all of Rockford, Michael (Paulette), Scottsdale, Ariz., James (Bev), Geneva, Ill., and Max (Ruth), Tekonsha, Mich.; three daughters, Sandra (Dean) Ulrey, Rockford, Linda (Jeff) White, Van Wert, and Ginny (Randy) Turner, Hilliard; a daughter-in-law, Marti, Chattanooga, Tenn.; six brothers, Donald "Buddy" (Barb) Mengerink, John, Roger (Carol) Mengerink, Larry (Diane) Mengerink, and Kenneth "Butch" (Karen) Mengerink, all of Van Wert, and Chuck (Melanie) Mengerink, Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Dorothy (Tim) Agler, Ohio City, Meredith High, Miamisburg, and Pat Holtsberry, Van Wert; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Karl E.; two brothers, Edward and Robert Mengerink; and two sisters, Joyce Williams and Marilyn Dempsey.
She retired from Aeroquip Corp., Van Wert, and was the former manager of Smith Nursing Home, Rockford. She was a member of Olive Branch Church of God, Ohio City, and a den mother for a local Cub Scout troop.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Steve Waterman officiating. Burial is at Rockford Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
