Evelyn Moser
Evelyn E. Moser, 100, of Celina, Ohio, died Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the Gardens of Celina.
She was born November 23, 1918, in Fort Recovery, Ohio, daughter of John and Zita (King) Steinbrunner. She married Paul E. Miller on March 9, 1945 and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1985. She married Robert L. Moser on October 15, 1988, and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1994.
She is survived by her step-son, Jerry (Karen) Miller of Decatur, Indiana, and by 5 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Katherine Taylor of St. Marys, Ohio, and by her sisters-in-law Germaine Steinbrunner and Mary Ann Steinbrunner, both of Coldwater, Ohio. She was also known as Aunt Evelyn by many, and is loved by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her step-daughter, Donna Gene Lehman, and by her siblings, Donald Steinbrunner, Elva Steinbrunner, Lauretta Steinbrunner, Elizabeth Bertke, Anthony Steinbrunner, Henry Steinbrunner, Victor Steinbrunner, Margaret Gibbs, Rose Ann Smitley, Phyllis Jean Steinbrunner, John Steinbrunner Jr., and Clara Steinbrunner.
Evelyn was a graduate of St. Henry High School and she retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne in 1979 from the Truck Design Center. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing, dancing, playing cards, playing bingo, baking, and making candy.
She was a member of: The Order of Eastern Star Fort Wayne Chapter #432, The Daughters of the Nile Teti Sheri Temple #60 in Fort Wayne, VFW Celina Post #5713, Celina Moose Lodge #1473, Mercer County Council on Aging, and Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys by Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Entombment will follow at 1:30 P.M. at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
Friends may call from 1:00-5:00 P.M. on Monday, August 12th at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road in St. Marys. Immediately following calling hours, family and friends of Evelyn are invited to attend a dinner in celebration of her life at the Celina Moose Lodge.
Memorial gifts may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
