High school pitchers are throwing at scary fast speeds unheard of a couple years ago

Looking back at his time as a catcher for St. Henry High School in the early 2000s, Mike Gast doesn't remember any of his teammates throwing much above 80 mph.
This past offseason, entering his third year as St. Henry's coach, Gast had six pitchers throwing at least 80 mph. Junior Lucas Clune hit 92 mph. [More]
