Lillian Halter
Lillian Halter, 85, of Wapakoneta, died May 29, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Lima, to Harry W. and Lillian Neuman Crede. On July 30, 1942, she married Charles F. Halter, who died Aug. 23, 1992.
Surviving are five sons, Ronald L. (Nancy), Lenexa, Kan., William C. (Ellie), Indian Lake, Joseph M. (Barb), Lima, James D. (Deb), Wapakoneta, and Kevin B. (Mary Jo), Ashland, Ky.; a daughter, Joyce D. (Don) Mort, Stockton, Calif.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Walt, Harry and Harold Crede, and two sisters, Anna Vondran and Naomi Crede.
She was an assistant manager, waitress, grill cook and cashier at the former Jim Arthur Steak House in Lima. During World War II she worked at the former Lima Loco Works and was a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, the Rev. Mick Althauser officiating. Burial is at Shawnee Cemetery, near Cridersville.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
