Florence Stinebaugh
Florence Leona Stinebaugh, 83, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:27 a.m. May 26, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, to Isidaore and Ivana Knerr Ruck.
Surviving are a son, Jim (Roxie), Wapakoneta; a daughter, Marlene (Melvin) Luttmer, St. Henry; a brother, Neal (Mary) Ruck, Cridersville; and six grandchildren.
She retired from Wapakoneta City Schools as the first woman bus driver in Auglaize County, she also retired from Superior Metals, Wapakoneta, and was a 1941 graduate of Blume High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, and its former Christian Mothers Sodality. She was past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8445 Auxiliary, was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 691 Auxiliary and a charter member of Knights of Columbus Council 1272 Auxiliary, all of Wapakoneta. Since 1988 she was a member of St. Rita's Medical Center Auxiliary.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Henry Albietz officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
