Lucille Heindel

Lucille L. Heindel, 96, 8244 Celina-Mendon Road, Mendon, died at 6:40 p.m. March 14, 2009, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.

She was born Nov. 21, 1912, in Celina, to Christ and Christina Freewalt Hone. On Jan. 13, 1934, she married Victor Ted Heindel, who died Jan. 28, 1997.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne (Doris) Heindel, Rockford, and Keith (Crista) Heindel, Celina; a daughter, Geraldine (James) Miracle, Celina; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased are three brothers, Walter, Arthur and Fred Hone; five sisters, Nora Felver, Dora Bauer, Catherine Thomas, Maude Thomas and Magdelena Itskin; and three grandsons.

She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Missionary Church, Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Bruce Head officiating.Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
