Rosella Vining
Rosella L. Vining, 88, formerly of Willshire and 212 Jewett Drive, Celina, died at 6:15 a.m. March 15, 2009, at the Gardens at Celina.
She was born on July 26, 1920, in Bloomfield, Ind. to Merrill and Mary Erwin Dull. On Feb. 20, 1943, she married Eugene Vining, who died on Oct. 25, 1999.
Surviving are a son, John (Teresa) Vining, Ohio City; a daughter, Marianna (Kenneth) Fetters, Celina, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Ekstrum, Lincoln, Neb.
Deceased are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Violet Vining; a sister Bettie Leister and brothers-in-law, Frank Leisther and Don Ekstrum.
She graduated from the former Willshire High School in 1938, and received her teaching degree from Kent State University. She retired in 1977, as a music teacher and senior high English teacher from Parkway High School after 28 years. She was a former member of the Zion United Brethren Church, Willshire, and attended Victory Chapel United Brethren Church, Celina. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Sunshine Singers in Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kenneth Whetstone and Mark Rutledge officiating. Burial is at Willshire Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
