Richard Dicke
Richard L. Dicke, 75, of 5936 Highway 8 West in Mena, Ark., and formerly of St.Marys, died Sept. 2, 2009 at the Mena Regional Health System.
He was born Feb. 14, 1934 in St. Marys to Lafe Henry and Hazel Hussey Dicke. On June 2, 1956, he married Anna Smallwood, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Kenneth Dicke, Mena, and Tim (Candy) Dicke, St. Marys; a daughter, Lisa (Robert) Perry, Cedar Hill, Texas; a brother, Larry (Betty) Dicke, St. Marys; a sister, Wilda (Rev. James) Allison, New Lexington; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are a three brothers, Robert, Bill and an infant Dicke; and two sisters, Jean Adams and Elizabeth Schnarre.
He retired as a production employee from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. He was a 1952 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Christ's Church in Mountain Fork, Ark., Freedom Water Association and the Mountain Fork Volunteer Fire Department.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St. Marys, the Rev. James Allison officiating. Burial, with graveside military rites, will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near St. Marys.
Calling is noon until time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
