William Adams
William Charles Adams, age 89 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at the Gardens at Paulding.
He was born on April 30, 1929 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Glenn Parker & Caroline Katherine (Allmandinger) Adams. On May 5, 1950 he married Evelyn Birley, who died September 14, 2015.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law Bill E. (Ruth) Adams of Lakeside, CA, daughters & sons-in-law Christine E. (Ed) Fodrea of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jennifer E. Manning of Lima, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, two brothers & sister-in-law Edward Adams of Celina, Ray (Becky) Adams of Tempe, AZ and his sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Bill) Williams of Rockford.
William was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Timothy E. Adams and Spencer C. Adams, sister and brother-in-law Madonna (Dan) Lukac, and his sister-in-law Bernadette Adams.
William retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys, Ohio and owned and operated Adam's Marine Sales in Montezuma. He was a member of the Chattanooga United Methodist Church, Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM, St. Marys Royal Arch Masons #46, St. Marys Council and was a Past Commander and a Knight Templar of the Sidney Commandery #45, Celina Chapter #91 Order of Eastern Star, Yoeman of York #2 of Angola, Indiana, Royal Order of Scotland; Quattro Coronado, London, England, 32 Degree Scottish Rite of Dayton; Antioch Shrine of Dayton, Auglaize-Mercer Shrine Club of St. Marys and the Antioch Shrine Kentucky Colonels Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday Nov. 1, 2018 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Tom Brunstrup officiating. Burial will follow services in the Swamp College Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 31, 2018 and one hour before services on Thursday at the funeral home. Eastern Star membership service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, with the Masonic Lodge service immediately following.
