Alvera Stucke
Alvera E. Stucke, age 98, passed away Sunday October 28, 2018, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born December 3, 1919 to the late Bernard & Cecilia (Heitkamp) Vehorn. On October 4, 1941 she married Werner Stucke and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2009.
Alvera is survived by her children: Pat & Jerry Watercutter of Cranberry Prairie, Richard & Francella Stucke of St. Henry, Ronald & Carolyn Stucke of Cassella, Susan Adams of Celina, Nick & Bonnie Stucke of Mason, John & Cindy Stucke of Chickasaw, Lavern & Sue Stucke of St. Marys, Dale & Phyllis Stucke of Ashburn, Virginia, and daughters-in-law, Ann Stucke of Minster, and Pam Stucke of St. Rose. She is also survived by 49 grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, as well as sisters Dottie Meiring, and Mary Miller, and in-laws Sonny Meiring, and Donna Vehorn.
Alvera was preceded in death by two sons Delbert and Jim, two sons-in-law Gary Wendel and Bob Adams, grandsons Kyle Wendel, and Christopher Stucke, and siblings: Sally & Victor Huelskamp, Viola & Al Ernst, Esther Meiring, Irene & Mike Meiring, Elmer & Pauline Vehorn, Herb Vehorn, Bill & Mona Vehorn, Ralph & Nancy Vehorn, and in-laws Al Miller, and Mort Meiring.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, St. Rose, Ohio, and the Ladies Sodality. She was a former member of the Adoration Guild at the Relic Chapel in Maria Stein, and former secretary for the Maria Stein Service Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Rose Catholic Church, St. Rose. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday, November 1, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
