Incumbent Kahlig, who has served for 20 years, won with 798 votes over challenger Rick Moorman, who received 673 votes.
ROCKFORD - Incumbent Amy Joseph will continue to serve as mayor after defeating challenger Margaret Gehle in Tuesday's general election.
Joseph, received 136 votes, 60.7%, beating Gehle with 88, 39.3% votes. She said she's excited and thanked village residents for their continued support.
