Dorothy Hein
Dorothy Jean Hein (Nee Braun), 89, of Coldwater, died at 9am, December 29, 2021 at The Gardens in St. Henry.
She was born April 12, 1932 in Mercer County, to the late August and Frances (Leugers) Braun. On September 29, 1932, she married Lester J. Hein who survives.
She is survived by her four children: Victoria (Roger) Zimmerman and Tom Frericks, Port Clinton, Ohio: Debra Brookhart, Columbus, Ohio; Jennifer Hein, Indianapolis, Indiana and Kevin Hein, Coldwater, Ohio; 6 Grandchildren: Doug Frericks, Dawn Hochwalt, Danielle Frericks, Jeremy Brookhart (dec.), Anthony Brookhart, Travis and Alexa Brookhart; 6 Great grandchildren: Darian Stephens, Kenton Hochwalt, MacKenzie Blankenship, Kaden Brookhart, Hudson and Hayes Brookhart.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Linus and Larry Braun and 3 sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Hoenie, Berniece (Murle) Green, and Alfrieda (Herb) Ramga, and her in-laws Ruth (Lee) Bilger, Edgar Moorman and Louis Geier. Her surviving relatives are Rose Moorman and Mary Geier.
Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of the Immaculate Conception High School in Celina. She was co-owner of Hein's Bridal for 31 years and Hein's Fashions while the girls were in high school. After those businesses closed, the family had KJ Hydroponics for 10 years then after that retirement she continued working by creating cute knitted and sewn clothing designs for Princess dolls. They were members of the American Legion and the Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral mass will be held at 10am Friday, January 7th, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Ohio.
Hogenkamp Sons, Coldwater, will have a limited family viewing at 9am. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, OH.
All are invited to the luncheon in the church basement following the committal service. If you are unable to go to the cemetery, go directly to the church basement.
Memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy's name to the Holy Trinity Church, The Gardens at St. Henry or the Mercer County Community hospital. We would also like to thank the excellent EverHeart hospice care nurses and staff.
