Karen Piper
Karen Sue Piper, 64, Celina, died at 2:55 p.m. July 23, 2011, at OSU Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born Feb. 24, 1947, in Celina, to Robert and Marceta E. Detrick McCullough. On June 26, 1966, she married Ronald "Butch" Piper, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Scott (Joni) Piper and Steve (Lisa) Piper; and a daughter, Stephanie (Ross) Zimmer, all of Celina; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Deceased is a sister, Patricia Ann Huston.
She graduated from Celina High School in 1965 and was a member of Celina First Church of God, where she served on the Missionary Board.
She worked for Mersman Brothers Furniture. She was an educational aide at East Elementary and Celina Intermediate for 25 years before retiring in 2005.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Bruce Strine officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
