Thomas Bihn
Former Fort Recovery resident Thomas J. Bihn, 61, Vandalia, died July 23, 2011, from injuries sustained in a tractor accident in Englewood.
He was born Jan. 22, 1950, in Mercer County, to John H. and Cleopha Fullenkamp Bihn. His mother survives in Fort Recovery. On Jan. 30, 1971, he married Jacqueline Walton, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jeremy (Stephanie) Bihn, Phillipsburg, Jacob (Jessica) Bihn, Brookville, and Adam Bihn, Vandalia; a daughter, Sarah (David) Purves, Dawsonville, Ga.; three brothers, John Bihn, Gerald (Becky) Bihn, all of Fort Recovery, and Ralph (Kathy) Bihn, Fort Loramie; a sister, Linda (Don) Boeckman, Versailles; a sister-in-law, Barb (Dale) Link, Portland, Ind.; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Edward Bihn and Leonard Bihn; a sister, Susan Bihn; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Bihn.
He operated a public horseback riding facility in Montgomery County for 30 years and was owner/operator of a tool and die company, also in Montgomery County.
A 1968 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, he attended ITT Technical Institute, Dayton, where he received a degree in architectural engineering.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
