Stephen McClurg
Stephen Clarence McClurg, age 83 of Chickasaw, Ohio, passed away on December 31, 2024 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born on October 19, 1941 in Celina, Ohio to the late Paul & Marlene (Barga) McClurg. He married Marie Heitkamp on August 13, 1966 in St. Louis Church, North Star and she survives in Chickasaw.
He is also survived by children: Mark & Janet McClurg, New Bremen, Stan McClurg (deceased), Sheryl & Gary Wilson, Celina, Michael & Ramona McClurg, North Star, grandchildren: Megan & Alex Clune, Jill, Drew, Claire McClurg, Mara & Nathan Peters, Amanda & Trent Bergman, Pakus & Hannah McClurg, Stephen & Laura Wilson, Samantha & Summer Wilson, Dylan (deceased), Miranda McClurg, great grandchildren Albert, Mary, Monica Clune, Brooks Bergman, Emberly, Harlow, Lyla, Coy McClurg, Westen, Amelia Wilson, siblings: Patrick & Virginia (deceased) McClurg, Versailles, Tom & Marilyn McClurg, Tipp City, Susie & Harold Hemmelgarn, New Bremen, Anne & Bill Mangen, Montezuma, Ed & Rosie(deceased) McClurg, Chickasaw, David (deceased) & Wendy McClurg, Bradenton, FL, Dean & Darlene McClurg, Tipp City, Mary & Larry Eyink, Chickasaw, Tony & Judy McClurg, Tipp City, Teresa & Jim Wente, New Bremen, Donna & Gary Mix Greenville, Rita & John Schemmel, Osgood, In-laws Doris & Louis (deceased) Keiser, North Star, Geroge (deceased) & Evelyn Heitkamp, New Bremen, Lavern & Sharon Heitkamp (both deceased) Ruth & Bill Groff, Troy.
Stephen was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, volunteer fireman, member of the Neighbors Water Co, Chickasaw, Maria Stein American Legion and a former Little League Coach. He retired from Chickasaw Machine & Tool after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, old cars, car shows, casinos, NASCAR and watching westerns.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM and on Saturday, January 4 from 9 to 10 AM. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MPS Society and Chickasaw Fire Department.
